Three Infiltration Wells on Sabira Island Completed Construction

Three absorption wells were finally completed in RT 01/03, Sabira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.

Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) Head, the construction also included a 50-meter-long channel that uses six-inch diameter PVC pipes.

"Each well has dimensions of 60x40x60 centimeters," he expressed, Wednesday (7/16).

He explained the work involved ten personnel had managed to finished the work on July 10, 2025.

"We do this to address the flood issues that often affect the locals. And everything went smoothly without any weather-related issues," he explained.

RW 03 Chairman, Harapan Island Urban Village, Muhammad Ali Kurniawan admitted, there were previously only two wells, and they were unoptimal at absorbing water during heavy rain.

"Thank you to the personnel who responded quickly to us. Hope this well functions optimally to prevent flooding," he said.
